The kids laughed at me
I finished reading another four books. But i only liked two, without jumping pages or a lot of speed reading: "Where the Crawdads Sing" by Delia Owens and "The Last Anniversary" by Liane Moriarty. I really enjoy reading now, if i can build a good connection to the story. It is a different experience, compared to listening or watching.
I get more control or freedom about the visuals in my head, unlike in audiobooks or movies, where everything can be messed up by voices or actors interpreting the script, basically stripping off the wiggle room that makes every book unique to the individual reader. I like to relate to characters, and do the coloring by myself.
Another year is over for me, with more white hair and more weight on the scales. I will never be a supermodel or yoga instructor in this life, for sure. My foot no longer hurts, but i will be more sensible, and not go full yoga anytime soon.
